Subsequent Classes -- one dog -- $15/child
Prerequisites: children must be able to handle the dog around other people and dogs. The dog must have completed (or is currently enrolled) in at least one AKC S*T*A*R Puppy or Family Dog class series (or equivalent).
For children 5 -- 10 years old -- at least one parent/grandparent/adult must attend with the child(ren)

For many of us, both our dogs and the children in our lives are important, but sometimes we don't know the best way to teach them how to get along. It takes patience, consistency, and time to teach both the children and the dogs how to work together and have a solid relationship built on trust and compassion.
At Buchele's K-9 Service, we have been there, done that, and are still doing it! Our K-9 Kids Camps are classes built on the foundation of positive reinforcement learning for both the dogs and the kids. In these classes we spend time teaching the kids what to do and then we practice what we've learned with our dogs.
Topics covered include (but are not limited to): targeting/touching, tricks, why positive training works, games we can play with our dogs, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
Each K-9 Kids Camp is tailored to fit the children who register for the camp, so children can attend as many or as few K-9 Kids Camps as they want. The first time a child attends K-9 Kids Camp, they will receive a free Clik-R Stik and a Mutt Mat to use at all Camps. (Alternative free items available if family has the Clik-R Stik and/or the Mutt Mat -- contact us for details.) Preregistration is required for planning and ordering purposes.
Items needed for K-9 Kids Camp:
dog and crate
collar and leash
water and bowl for dog
water bottle for child(ren)
something to hold treats -- treat pouch, fanny pack, hoodie,
pockets, etc.
